i just found out about the hobby of making pyrotechnics but far as i know fireworks are illegal in new york
so is the ny goverment planing to legalize fireworks in new york?

The state of NY has no intention of legalizing fireworks because of the potential danger from use by people who have no idea what they are doing.
When I lived in NY, I used to make my own. Many had an explosive capability greater than an equivalent weight of dynamite and many of the rockets were little more than barely controlled explosions. My "partner" lost four fingers due to one "small" error of construction. I had one rocket launch from my hand as I was loading it. I was lucky in that I only suffered a burned hand. I do not recommend that any amateur dabble in such activity.

i want them legalized, not to be used in and near residential areas, its rude
