I think you should give your doctor a call and tell him what you have been experiencing, and get his opinion.
It does sound like your membranes MAY HAVE ruptured. But, of course, we have a lot of annoying leaks and discharges during pregnancy so it may not be. I think the only reliable way to determine if it was your water is to go in and get tested-they can use nitrazine paper or look at a sample under a microscope to try and determine if your membranes have indeed ruptured.
Most women do not have a big gush of fluid when their membranes rupture-more commonly, they have a slow leak. However, most women do not rupture their membranes before the onset of labor either-meaning they are usually already at the hospital when the water breaks on its own, or the doctor manually breaks it.
"They" like for a woman to deliver within 24 hours of her water breaking if she is at or near term, because after your membranes have ruptured the risk of infection increases. However, "they" are the ones that usually cause the infection with unnecessary internal exams, etc. Just something to be aware of.
As I said, personally I would give my doctor a call and get his/her opinion.
I wish you the best!

Check the discharge. If it is clear and uncolored, it could be umbilical fluid. If it is yellowish, it's urine, and at this stage of your pregnancy there is a lot of pressure on your bladder so it isn't unusual to drizzle. If the fluid has a reddish tinge, you need to contact your doctor and get ready to roll.
Often the waters break with a great gush and it's very clear what is happening, but sometimes they just seep out and that makes diagnosis more difficult.
Are you having any sensation of contractions? Usually the early contractions are very mild and easy to ignore, but once the umbilical sac has been breeched (which is what happens when the fluid begins to leak out) the environment in the uterus is no longer sterile. That's why it is important to make sure your doctor knows what is happening, because you don't want to take the risk of getting an infection in utero, and that can happen in an unsterile environment.
Better safe than sorry - give your doctor a call, and hopefully, things will get underway for you. Who knows - by this time tomorrow, you could be a mom!
congratulations.

No you should go to the hospital or call your doctor right away - you could be leaking urine, but there's a good chance your water has broken and if you walk around with a broken sac and the baby is still pretty high up in the canal, the umbilical cord can come out and that's VERY dangerous! It's better to be safe than sorry.

It sounds like your water broke. Note the time that you noticed the leaking, and call your doctor. If the liquid is clear, than its normal and you can expect additional signs of labor to come soon. If you're not having contractions, you may want to get your rest, and go to the hospital in the morning. You will need your strength for labor & delivery and the longer you can stay home & relax the better. But either way, call your OB tonight so that they know what is going on.

When your waters break its either a gush or a constant trickle, similar to what you're experiencing.
Obviously if it's clear, then the chances of it being urine and a weak bladder is lessened.
If your waters have broken and it's clear, that's good. It's not going to stop trickling - once the membrane has ruptured, that's it..it's ruptured! If it's discoloured then you need to get to a doctor asap.
i would suggest making call to your doctor and going in for a check up. Your babe could be on its' way very soon!
Good luck!

When your water breaks it's like a gush of water, it could just be the baby is probley sitting on your bladder so when you walk youleak,if your water breaks you usually have the mucus plug come with it. I would call th edoctor if you start feeling dizzy, pain, or some type of urge to push down.

SO EXCITING! The same thing happened to me. I went to the doctor and came home and same thing along with lower back pain. Call your doctor just incase but I doubt he'll have you come until contractions kick in. My water never totally broke it just slowly leaked out. They tried to break it during delivery and there was none left. I hope you have a wonderful delivery and a beautiful healthy baby. Congratulations mom!!!

A friend of mine had a similar thing happen to her recently, although she was not as far along as you, and apparently because of the pressure of the baby etc, it caused her to have a really weak bladder, but thats not to say that its the same thing. Considering how close you are to the end, i would probably call the maternity ward and see what they think and maybe get a check up just incase!! good luck to you!! :)

Does it smell like pee?
Amniotic fluid has a very sweet taste...those so does vaginal fluid so I'm told (I've never tasted mine LOL).
I would call your doc. You will probably have to go in to Labor and Delivery but they can do a litmus test and you will know immediately if you are peeing your pants or if you are leaking fluid.
Good luck!
