This is silly, but when I was in grade school I read the book about Helen Keller and in the book there was a diagram showing how to sign the alphabet. I learned it and now many years later I still remember how to do it. I would often sign the letters in my own hand when my parents were punishing me so that I could "talk" without them hearing what I was saying/thinking.

I purchased a book to teach myself, I am a pre-K teacher and one of the mom's taught her son to sign before he could speak, so I decided to learn so we could communicate and I would understand what he needed.

no but I remember laughing at these old ladies that were translating the speeches at my graduation party in sign language... it was funny cause they were smiling and crap as if they're really getting a lot of attention.... it was more entertaining than the speeches... haha.... cracks me up.

only the alphabet of ASL.... I learned it in middle school as a way of talking to a friend of mine without the guys around us knowing what we were saying!
