"Because no senator will vote against it"----BINGO, Honey!
AIPAC is so pervasive and entwined into this govenment that the mere thought of "voting against Israel" is enough to make politicians tremble in their wingtips with fear at being labeled "anti-Semitic". What a crock. There are a good many professionals politicians, including my own state's U.S. senator, Carl Levin, that have dual U.S./Israeli citizenship. How on earth can these elected officials be expected to behave in a fair and impartial manner?
Happily, I see the American public slowly awakening to this travesty. If you haven't done so already, please read the book "They Dare To Speak Out" by former Congressman Paul Findlay, to see the degree of how deeply Zionism has infiltrated our political system.

Israel would not have oil or the different quite helpful organic components, so why till it easily wasn't all those issues?

6. Sudan 0.50 Billion

Foreign Aid needs to dry up like an old well.

We could put our education system to the top of the totem pole with the money we dole out in Foreign Welfare.

We need to become more Jeffersonian in our foreign policies.
Trade with nations on a cash and carry basis. No entangling treaties.

If Egypt and Israel want to blow the crap out of each other... let them.

If the US gives money to other countries - people complain. If the US doesn't help other countries - people complain.

Why wouldn't the US want to help an ally in that part of the world? Not assisting Israel would just result in another slaughter against Jews and we would lose a strategic ally.

What's up with all the anti-Zionists and their conspiracies? I thought WWII would have been a wake-up call for everyone that blames the Jews for the worlds problems. Then again, that seems to go along with the US reverting back to Isolationism which also resulted in the US being attacked and dragged into WWII... is it that hard to learn from history?

The money being given to Israel has to do with Camp David Peace Treaty, hosted by Jimmy Carter in which both Israel and Egypt promised to stop blowing each other up, in return the USA promised billions of dollars each year to both countries. Negotiation through bribery. Brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?

Why shouldn't we give Israel money. God knows we blew more than that on the worthless French. At least Israel actually acts like an ally most of the time.

You ever been there? I have. Nice people. Amazingly friendly.
