My 1yr old baby son grinds his teeth and I worry if this is dangerous or harmful to him?

My son did this too and it has not hurt this teeth. He mostly did it while he was teething. He is 3 now and doesn't do it anymore.

My 8-month old has 6 teeth (4 on the top, 2 on the bottom) and she's just started doing it. I've looked it up and it seems that other than being really unpleasant on our ears, it's perfectly normal: they are just getting used to their teeth. I sure hope it stops soon though... :-)

This is normal. Some do it more than others. You may see some wear, but it doesn't hurt the function of the teeth. There is nothing you can do to stop it anyway.

ugh, that is the worst noise EVER!
No, I dont think that it is harmful, I think it has something to do with when they are sleep and they do a suction motion like sucking a bottle, their teeth grind.

If he is awake and doing this, just tell him no no, hurt teeth baby. He might just be getting used to his new chompers and testing them out.
