I don't think it has a direct biological effect. We use magnetic compasses. The magnetosphere shields us from the solar wind, which would harm us biologically, and probably would also strip away our atmosphere. It is thought that some birds navigate by using the earth's magnetic field. Is that what you're asking about?

The magnetic field of the earth very much has affects on humanbeings.
Haven't you heard that some people prevent us from sleeping with head towards north.
This has been proved Scientifically that our body is also like a magnet but not much powerful than earth.
According to it our head act as North pole and our foot acts as South pole.
when we sleep with our heads towards north tha magnetic field of our body gets disturbed by magnetic field of earth.
Though it is not of much problem but it can to some efects affect our brain.
