I've never had a hallucination before, but I've had a delusion (false belief) before. I had been taking klonopin for anxiety for about a week prior to this delusion. I was sitting in class one day and I was annoyed with my professor because she hadn't emailed me back about a question I had about something prior to that particular class, when I needed the information. I remember starting to think that she hates me and doesn't care if I do well in class or not. Here's the scary part - this was an eight hour class with an hour's lunch break in the middle. I thought that if I left my drink in the classroom during lunch that she would probably sprinkle poison in it while I was gone. Fortunately, I work in mental health and realized immediately what that was and what was causing it. I quit the medicine after that and told my psychiatrist about it and he said that it's really rare, but possible to have hallucinations/delusions while on klonopin. Even though it was a delusion that lasted a couple seconds, it was really scary when I snapped out of it and realized what was going on. I'm off the medicine now and haven't had anymore delusions since that one.

yes, My father-in law was dying and I needed to be at the hospital with him to make sure his wishes were carried out, and it was an all day 8 hours a day thing, then I'd come home and do what I had to to keep my own home togather (4 children),and get called to work in the evening, I was on over load , and yes, it was so real I lost it . My husband called the Crisis center.
Dad, has died a couple of days before and I was seeing things that were almost tangible in vision.

I did about 30 years ago and they were not caused by a high fever... Laughed my a*s off the whole time... saw the sheets on the bed move like a sand storm... saw a color wheel on the drapes... We would set the red heat lamp on in the bathroom run like hell back to the bad and then when it went off we would laugh and laugh and laugh??? But then I looked at myself in a mirror and what I saw scared me... it was me only my face was a skull... I was just standing and staring when my boyfriend at the time found me and pulled me away... I will never forget what I saw that night... never did LSD again... ever! Peace to my friends here OX

i used to be prescribed xanax. well, one time i ran out and starting having very severe withdrawals. i wandered out of my apartment in shorts and a t-shirt (it was january) trying to find a cat i thought had run out. i got so cold that i turned back only to realize i was lost (in the parking lot) ha. it was so cold i tried to get into peoples cars to get warm and somebody saw me and called the cops. they were going to arrest me on attempted burglary charges only to realize that i was having a psychotic episode due to severe benzodiazepine withdrawal. mainly because i was talking jibberish and didnt know what my name was. they took me to the hospital instead and i spent all night trying to pick things out of the carpet that werent there. i cant believe i just posted that. how embarrassing! i am no longer on any meds like that and never plan to be again. my neighbors still havent let me live that down!

yes a few times. the 1st time i was alone. and that was scary, i sat in my room w/ my blanket wrapped around me eating Cheetos really hard (my tongue hurt-ed for days after). i didn't want to get off my bad cuz i could see lil' arms reaching out for me. the 2nd time it was w/ my brother and my husband and that was fun. we laughed the whole time. it was great, i thought my brother was the incredible hulk and kept telling him not to run threw the wall, i wasn't going to clean it up. Good times. Good times.
