Social acceptability is the main reason. Our society holds women and their reproductive organs in pretty high esteem. They do carry our children in there. Prostitution is degrading and dehumanizing. Historical experience shows that most prostitutes are suffering from some emotional trauma or addiction. Being a prostitute is not like having sex with a lover.
However, there are places where you can go if you really want to be a prostitute. I know there are legal brothels in Nevada.

Honestly, while I don't support prostitution and think it's not a good thing to be involved with, if you think about it non-objectively, it shouldn't be illegal.
Both parties are willing, and the sale of any other service is allowed.
It's basically just another byproduct of our society being absolutely terrified of sex.

The reason you are not allowed to sell your vagina is because just like illegal drugs our greedy government can't get their cut. File taxes on the money you make and maybe they won't take you to jail.

why would you want to sell it ? Its better as a rental for short periods of time ..... or maybe consider a long term lease,,,, but dont sell it
