I don't stick mine way out for sure. When I was in school, a boy did stick his arm out and as a big truck went by it did break the arm and cause a huge cut with bone sticking out. Since we lived way out in the country, he lost a lot of blood before we made it in to town...could have been fatal.

Now, since I drive lower vehicles, I worry about mirrors that stick out from smaller trucks, van, and SUVs.

I do it a LOT. I let my arm float up and down with the wind currents as I cup my palm up and down too!

I've always done it even though my father has always warned me not to do it because some relative of ours (one I've never met) supposedly lost his arm from hanging it out of a car windown. That never stopped me though.

lol - yes, i'm totally traumatized! i also vaguely remember this movie where this guy is riding with his arm hanging out of the window and a semi comes and severs his hand which comes to life and kills reeks havoc!

apparently my parents didn't care about the welfare of my arms...cuz they always let me do it, and i still do...
