If your lucky enough to own your own camel a little thing like a barking dog won't bother you. Or, anyone wise enough and able enough to own their own camel is to wise to be disturbed by a barking dog. Or, I have never heard that one before and have no idea. Thanks for the question anyway, hope you get a difinitive answer.

Not really sure. Though if the camel is anything like my horse, the camel would kick the dog.

This sentence has a metaphorical meaning or a reasoning with analogy.It means that we should set aside (do not be bothered) a non reasonable critic so we should go on with our firmed decision.In Indonesian language we have a sentence with the same meaning e.g "biarkan anjing menggonggong,kafillah tetap berlalu". or let alone the dog barking,the group will go on the trip.

gee. never heard that one - sounds like an arab proverb. maybe...a person who has a destination or purpose in mind is so 'driven' to succeed that not even a diversion will persuade or alter him from that end. sounds right!
