You can get pregnant on the pill. The chances of the pill having a bad effect on the baby are higher, but I wouldn't think the test would be any different.

Birth control cannot make a pregnancy test positive. The only thing that can cause a test to come out positive within the appropriate waiting time is HcG with is the pregnancy hormone. Some women do get pregnant on the pill. Generally they missed a few days here and there and a few without reason somehow still get pregnant. Remember the statistic is 99.9% effective. That means that there are people who fall into those percentage. A pregnancy test would be accurate, regardless of birth control.

The pill is 99% effective so 1% who take it properly as scheduled will get pregnant. Those who don't follow the directions have higher risks of conception. The pregnancy test will read the same no matter if she took the pill or not. It is detecting a hormone called HCG which a woman produces when pregnant.

Yes, I know this from personal experience.
I was on the pill for 5 years, then I missed my period. I took 5 pregnancy tests at home. I got 4 positive and 1 negative results. I had two more tests done at two different clinics, both positive.
I had no complications in pregnancy, and I now have a 16 month old son.

Yes you very well can get pregnant while taking the pill. I have only conceived while I was taking the pill. I learned the hard way that the pill is not right for me. However, the pill will not effect a prenancy test. I knew within 3 weeks that I was pregnant because I was getiing so sick that I could not stand to hold my head up. Good luck.

yes a woman can become pregnant on the pill because it is not 100% although if you think that you are pregnant in the instructions it says to stop taking the pill until you can confirm it so the pill wont affect the pregnancy test because you should have stopped taking it

Whether or not you are on the pill it could take a while to find out if you are or are not pregnant. You can still get pregnant from the pill, however using any source of birth control, a condom should be used as well

if she missed a pill or two then she very well could be pregnant. she wont know until she is taking the sugar pills at the end of the cycle when she is supposed to get her period wether she is pregnant or not. the pill simulates pregnancy by mimicking the hormones so i suppose if she was still on the pill and took a test it could give a false positive but im not sure.
