I'm in high school and most of the guys wear backpacks like superman, spiderman,go diego go, shrek and so on, and girls do it to is it a new fad is it cool. why do they wear them?

Yeah, I know what you mean. A little over a year ago when I was in highschool the guys wore those same little backpacks that you are talking about. They had Spongbob, Spiderman, and even Scooby-Doo backpacks. I thought that it was just stupid and is just a fad. It isn't cool to wear a backpack that a 10 year old wears. But I have to say that I didn't wear these type of backpacks, but my sister started wearing Spongebob backpacks.

Because its cool! I think that they just want to be kids again most ppl i know out like spiderman in their lockers & on on their binders

Haha probably because its funny. Like it's so dumb it's funny.
But yeah, haha like the answer above me- we deffinatly don't go to the same school. Everyone here just used totes or skater brand backpacks (from like Zumeiz) if you a guy.

im 13 i have a dora tote and a dora backpack, i wear them because dora is cool.
its mostly a fad tho.

I don't know why but that also seems to be very popular especially among my fellow african-american youth. (i'm in high school too) Hmm I guess someone just made it popular and now it's a trend...

a lot of people right now think that chracter things are really cute, well the girls do... idk bout the guys haha. but yah at my school a lot of the girls like hello kitty and other characters like that.
