Hi,
When I was in 6th grade, my mom allowed me to wear makeup. She let me wear a clear lip gloss or a light/natural pink, I use Loreal Paris, Pink Grapefruit. It is VERY natural looking. She let me wear a mascara, but only a brown, not a black. She would also let me wear a concealer, because well, your becoming a teenager and you could have sudden breakouts...so it would be nice to cover those. I use the Cover Up brand from Merle Norman. When you go to their studio they match your skin tone with a concealer perfectly!! It is the best concealer I've ever used. Right now I am in 8th grade and I am using a foundation by Maybelline, it has a tinted moisturizer in it and it matches your natural skin so well. everyday I get complements how how beautiful my skin is, even though I'm wearing a very natural foundation. I also use a powder to even out my skin...a bronzer and blush...Here is some links of the makeup that I use the I described above...
Hoped That Helped! :)

Hmm... Not really all my friends started wearing makeup in sixth grade (i mean really heavy make up) and now (im in 8th) they don't look good without it. I on the other hand just started to wear it (light) and when i don't feel like wearing any i don't look horrible. If u want to wear it though i'd go with lip gloss and mascara. eyeliner can be a scary thing if u use to much so i'd save that 4 seventh grade. Whatever u do just b yourself and have fun!!!!!!

sorry no. a sixth grader should not be wearing make-up. they are like what 10 or 11? i didn't start wearing any make-up until 8th grade and that was only to cover up my acne. I wore foundation, powder and a bit of lip gloss and mascara.

I have a sixth grader and we let her wear light (neutral) colors so she doesn't look...well you know! They still need to learn how to put makeup on properly and the light colors hide mistakes pretty good. I only let her wear clear lip gloss tho.
From one mom to another, I have a sixteen year old daughter and oh the arguments that happen. It's best to choose your battles with this one and save the worrying for an older age.
Best of luck to ya!

MAybe I can help u out??????? actually I started putting make up when my 6Th grade was almost over!I know it,s irritating when u r considered young when u love wearing makeup! I am in 7Th grade but still my mom is after me and scolds me not to put make up. but still I do it becus people like me that way! But I guess u should wait a bit, but if it,s your will to do it ,than I guess these things should be enough fer u -Wear a matching earring or necklace with a dress which u wear,(accessories) and a light peach gloss! I guess that looks sweet and should be enough becus according to me ,if I see a 6Th grader with make-up,I would,NT appreciate it so I guess it would be better if u start with eye shadows and eyeliner in 7Th grade

ok listen i just got out of sixth grade, ok so for a month or so wear lip gloss and a light line of eyeliner under your eyelid (on the bottom)see what make up others are wearing and if they look god ask them what they do to get like that.ok just a few rules for ur thought
no colored eyeshadow (to much for school)
no colored eyeliner or mascara (again to much for school)
no dark lipsticks or blush
use light colors for blush and lips
and use either white brown or black eyeliner
ok here is a makeup look you can use every day it will take alittle bit to get it just right.
ok u need gold or goldish brown eyeshadow
black eyeliner
mascarra
and either a clear or light pink lip gloss
ok put a light line across the bottom of you eyelids (bottom i lid)
and then stretch the top of you eyes out with your finger to the side
(put your finger on your eyeand pull it out toward your ear)
put the eyeliner straight across your eyelid (this just helps the line be perfect or straight.
put the eyeshadow on normally its ok if you go over your eyelinger
but on masaccarra and lipgloss
and this look isn't to done up so its perfect
hope it helps

Yes, because I am a sixth grader. :P
But just, really, some mascara and a wee bit of eyeliner.
I HATE EYESHADOW.
It just always manages to look awful on me, and no matter what color i use, I still look like a racoon.
Lipgloss is okay. But I prefer just plain old chapstick or carmex. 'cause than my lips are shinyish!
And i look like a 'tard with lip color.
So, her eit is:
Do use-
mascara
eyeliner
lip balm
DONT USE-
Colorful lipstick
Eyeshadow (Ack.)

I would just do light make-up cuz you're young and you shoudn't cover up your youthful face.
I'm in 8th grade, so I just wear foundation, blush, and lipgloss.
sometimes bronzer. But if you over do it you will just look trashy. Look for every-day makeup tips in magazines too. And if you want to use eye liner DO NOT put too much on. A very thin line will do just enough to eccentuate your eyes, otherwise you will have raccoon eyes, and once again, look trashy. Eye shadow may come in fun colors, but believe me, it is so unnecessary to wear during the day and especially at your age. If you use my tips you will look just fine! Remember, makeup is supposed to look your not wearing any makeup! Good Luck!

I don't think they should. Most people don't start wearing makeup untill grade 7 or 8. Sometimes even later. If you insist on wearing something wear lip gloss. Maybe some light coloured eyeshadow like powder blue or something natural like beige. Clear mascara is ok too.

Yes, it's perfectly okay to wear makeup in 6th grade. I would recommened just a natrual look with some mascara, cover-up if you have a few zits, and maybe a light streak of eyeliner. I'm going into 8th grade now, and I wore makeup in 6th grade, too. Just don't over do it. =]
