Honestly, I think you should get married. not because blah blah blah its the right thing, but because it shows the comittment level of all parties involved.

If you cant be committed to each other in the institution of marriage, there is NO way you will stick together through the raising of a child. Being married is pretty damn easy... throw a kid in the mix and its a WHOLE new dynamic.

As far as conceiving a child, relax. Dont try. The best way to get pregnant is to have sex and not think about babies. The stress messes with a female mind and body in ways that cannot be imagined.

First, I would suggest a long engagement and then a nice wedding so your children have a real family. Then before you have children spend some time with each other, like two or three years so you know you are compatible and won't have knock down fights in front of your "childern" And please make sure you have at least one good job in your family to support the "childern" - you might want to take some adult education courses and learn some spelling skills and some job skills. Raising children is a lifetime obligation and responsibility - make sure you are ready. You can't put them in the closet when you are tired of them. My final and most important repeated advice is please get married first and have a good job.

I am living with my boyfirend and we are tyring for a baby ourselves. I was on the depo injection and that took 1 year to come out of my system. All in all i have been trying for just over 2 years without any luck. I would suggest you go to the doctors just to check that you are ovulating. it is a simple blood test they also check other things like your hormone levels and rubella. My partner had to have a bood test and a sperm test. now i have to have a HSG scan to check that my tubes are clear then they can start me on fertility drugs. I wished i had gone to the doctors sooner rather than leaving it and leaving it. Being married doesnt matter, all it is is a piece of paper, how can a piece of paper keep you in love, well good luck to you both i have my fingers crossed

my wife and I tried for a long time, we were so anxious it seemed like forever then we just stopped trying so hard and quit putting the pressure of trying to concieve on each other and after that WHAM! a bundle was in the oven! Dont give up it will happen, if you have any concerns doesnt hurt to speak to your Dr.

Try not to worry as I was trying for 13 months with my first baby, then with my second and third I got caught straight away, so stress is a huge factor in conceiving. If your worried, go to your doc who can send you for some fertility tests and go from there, good luck.

it does take some couples well over a year. if you are starting to get concerned that its not happening for you, make an appointment to see your doctor.
