Ha! I thought my friend in Lubbock made this term up! I love it! OK, seriously, about the kankles.....keep your feet up, a long time, and lay off the salt. Make water your friend, and stay out of the heat. That, and you will have no life, yucky tasting food, but your ankles will look fabulous.

I have had the same problem , and i found that soaking my feet in cool water also helps. One of the comments about preclamsia tho is a very good point . My swelling got to the point where i could make indents into my legs I was holding so much fluid, but luckily it was normal . Resting also helps . Wish you all the best :)

Has this come on suddenly since your last visit at the clinic? If so, this might warrant a call to the doc's office. Sudden increase in swelling can sometimes be an indicator of preeclampsia. How have your blood pressures been? Have you had any visual disturbances like floaty spots?

It's common to be swollen in later pregnancy, but if it is extreme or if it came on rather suddenly, it needs to be reported to your doctor.
