The Eagles front office is cheap. They think it's worthwhile to pay half as much for a 2nd year guy with *potential* than to pay a 10-year veteran who has proven himself as a leader both on and off the field. Trotter has given his heart and soul to this team. He may not be quite as fast as he used to be but he still made a huge impact and he was undoubtedly one of the top 3 leaders on this team. The Eagles won't be the same without him.

a million. On week 2, Kolb may be the only available QB. If the Eagles hadn't have been given Garcia, and Kolb became into injured, we would be screwed. 2. i like Trotter, yet i think of he's plenty too old and gradual now to be a sturdy run stopper.

We all love Trott, but things come and go.
If you watched any Eagles football last season, you would know that he was a liability in pass coverage, and did not move as well laterally in previous years.
The time had come.

i am shocked that reid let trotter go maybe he was afraid that his knees would not make it the entire season ,but i think it was a mistake letting him go
