You can decide to start a player, provided there is a roster spot that is not being used, up to 1 hour before game time. This means that if Manning is playing on Monday night, as long as you did not start a QB on the day before, you can choose to either sit or start him until the hour before gametime. I sometimes do this with my defense position if they are playing monday night and I already have the win wrapped up.

So in essence, you don't really decide once, but it is really best do to so and you will find yourself doing this most of the time. I typically check my teams Friday or Saturday, check out the matchups, and adjust my roster accordingly. Unless there is a player that is a game time decision I tend not to adjust my roster after I set it for the week.

You can change this roster on any day of the week and can change it each day after if you like until gametime.

You typically pick up players for the next week on Tuesday or any day before the week ends and you can start these players the week you pick them up provided, again, that it is at least an hour before game time.

You set your roster prior to the 1st game of the weekend of every week.

You can start Manning the first week, and after the first weekend's games, you can start Leinart for your next week.

The waiver wire is where you can pick up players that were not drafted at the beginning of the season.

Hope that helps!

No Sunday starts the new week so you could change QB's for the new week. I believe on ESPN games you're roster doesn't lock till that players game starts
The tuesday wavier is when someone drops a player from a roster they must clear waivers so everyone has time to take a look at who was dropped and can try to pick them up

How is it possible for a team owner to view his opponent s lineup one way, after payers are locked after start of 1PM game, only to then see changes made to that lineup later on? Only way I am aware this can happen is by action by commissioner, but no commish action was taken....
