Redfoots are really cool tort's. Here is a great website to learn about them....
http://www.redfoottortoise.com/generalcare.htm
They grow to be 12-18 inches long and will need at least a 4ft by 4ft enclosure.
They are omnivores meaning that they eat veggies, fruit and insect/animal protein.
They are tropical torts and need high humidity. keep their substrate moist and plant heavily to keep it comfortable for your tort.
Read the website and if you have any questions the owner of the site,Joe Heinen, raises redfoots and has a forum here....

Red-footed tortoises are very hardy & do well in captivity. They're a good choice for a beginner.
They're forest dwellers from S. America & are well adapted to humid environments.
They are omnivorous and require regular feedings of animal/insect protein. Veggie choices would be spinach, endive, dandelion, chicory, kale, turnip greens, etc.
They can eat fruit but it should be given as an occasional treat as too much can cause diarrhea.
Cypress Bed by T-Rex is an excellent substrate for this species.
They may be kept in outdoor pens during warmer months. Be sure to sink fencing so the tortoise doesn't dig under it & escape. This species does not hibernate.
48"L x 12-16"W x 16"H are good cage dimensions for a single adult. You may go larger.
Be sure to provide fresh water daily as many turtles/tortoises will pass waste in their water. The water dish should be large enough to allow wading. Offer a mineral block or cuttlebone to keep the beak trimmed and provide vits/mins.
If kept indoors you will need supplemental lighting.
A UVA spot or basking bulb & a UVB tube light. Tortoises generally have high UVB requirements.
85F day temp is sufficient, 75F evening temp. Make sure the cage has a cooler side & a warmer side so your tortoise can regulate it's own body temp. Be sure to provide a hide box.
Hope this helps,
Jen
