Yes you can. Eat gummie bears. Just kidding.

Eat fruits and vegetables, little meat, and drink lots of water. No Kool-aid, soda, coffee, or tea. The sugar and caffeine will work against you.

Early in the morning, drink some water and stretch your muscles out. Start by standing up straight, bend over and try to bring your head as close to your legs as possible. Hold for about two minutes if you can keep from passing out.

Sit on the floor and see if you can bring your torso all the way to the floor with your head facing forward all the while. Spread your legs as far apart as possible as you do this.

If you can do the splits with one leg out in front and one in back you are ahead of most others. Switch legs to work both of them.

There are many other stretches you can do and find on the internet, but the only other one that will really test you is the unassisted backwards bend.

These are some of the things my niece does. Good luck.

Hi, I am sorry to tell you this, but by the age of 12 there is very little increase in flexibility you can achieve. Your bones and muscles are more than 75% grown and flexibility is in your joints. Unfortunately, being flexible is mostly genetic, either you are or you aren't. You can increase flexibility if you already have a degree of flexibility, but you cannot create a greater rotation of your joints if it wasn't there to begin with. I am a dance teacher and dancer myself, but I would encourage you to try out for the team anyway because sometimes determination and other talents are more important than flexibility.

Try stretching for an hour or two everyday(if your serious about this).

-Don't stretch till it hurts, just till you feel something.
-Hold every stetch for 30 seconds.
-Do everystretch 3 times.(The diference between the 1st time and 2nd time will be the biggest)
-Remember how much you want this, if you get bored and want to go do something else.

I wish you luck.

It is completely possible to be very flexible by then.
I learned my splits in a day.

Stretch out your splits and backbends (if possible) before bed every night or while your watching TV.

stretch. make sure your muscles are warm though before you do. the best time to stretch is right after you took a hot shower. that way all of your muscles are warm and limber
