Hey, My Whole life I have been an Actor/Singer. My Parents have always been WAY unsupportive. I know that if my parents REALLY wanted to help me, the would have done something pro-active by now. Every step I have taken in my Career has been on my own, My mom always tells me that just because I'm good looking, doesn't mean I have to be famous, that there is alot more in acting then just that, But I understand that. I'm REALLY good. Every part I have ever auditioned for I end up getting it, and I have been the lead in every play I ever ever Tryed out for. I am trying so hard to make it on my own, but I can't even get my parents to drive me to my auditions 95% of the time. And we live like 30 minutes away from a Studio. How can I convince my parents how much I want this, and how good I am. Or if thats impossable, how can I go farther in my Career on my own? Thanks for reading this long *** question, I just think its important you get all the Details. Sorry for Typos, i typed this fast.

given your sircumstance, i think the best thing to do is to do a lot of community theatre and other shows for more well-known theatre places in your area. than, when you get a car, you wont need to depend on your parents support as much and you can do what you like best. dont worry, im in a similar situation. but if you really try than you can make it work.

Gotta love parents. My take on their actions is not so much that they are not supportive, but don't want to see you get heartbroken when you don't get a role. Acting in school or a community production is not the same as trying out for something professional. So, don't be so hard on them. Just continue to improve your craft with classes and auditioning for shows. Once you're 18 you can audition for anything you want, anywhere you want.... and once you can drive, your parents may ease up a bit and let you audition further away from home, just to let you see how it is.
