i am 14 so know exactly how you feel! ignore some silly people on here, you can work, you can get an agent and you should if you feel its right for you!
In the mean time keep getting as much experience as you can! take all the opportunities you're give!
As for an agent, go for it! Look through something like the yellow pages for acting agencies in your area.
But BE WARNED! there are some very doggy people out there, check out all agencies before you commit to anything! Make sure you have an address, go and check it out, if it look plausible go ahead, if not RUN!
Get a phone number and the name of the person in charge of you. You will probably need a parent to sign the legal stuff for you, but you can work! You'll just need a special license from the council
Also be aware good agents will NEVER charge you upfront, they will take about 10% - 20% of the money you get paid, but they should not try to charge you upfront, if they do again RUN!
Also if you don't have it already think about getting equity, it's not essential to work, but it can be very useful!
Good luck!

Hi, if in the UK try www.thecastingwebsite.com. A directory of young actors used by lots of casting directors, not an agent but a great way of getting your face seen by a casting director. A whole lot cheaper than an agent as well, the guy who runs it only charges about £3 a month for the phone calls and running costs he incurs on the members' behalf.

Dude, don't listen to any of these people! If you believe you have a lot of experience, you need to fulfill your dreams! If you go to a theater, they may have a seminar or something of the sort for kids like you who want to make it big time. Otherwise, there are probably kids there who do have agents, so you could ask around. If you're not part of a theater, you could simply join one and that would help a lot. When you get the name of an agency, go to their website. If there's a good amount of kids there your age, you may want to contact them and schedule an interview. If everything goes good and you're as talented as you say, they should like you!

First of all, a thirteen year old can have plenty of experience so don't judge by age.
But you have to research agency's in your area and make sure your not getting scammed. If they ask for money up front it's a scam. Agents look for talent and when you get a job they get a commission.

You mean you need a person to contract for the 13 year old? A 13 year old is not able legallly to contract or enter into business dealings. If the child has some special talent you want to sell the parent or guardian has to be legally responsible for them. If the child needs an attorney the parent must hire one. for encouragement listen to ttb.org.

Take time to be a kid, if its gonna happen, you have to believe it will happen whatever you do for the next 7 years. Surely your still on summer holidays, enjoy it, you got school for the next 3-5 years. Take time being a kid, enjoying the simpler things in life before you have to start worrying about bills each month, feeding yourself, clothing yourself, paying your cable, rent, gas, electric, water, council tax, tv licence, road tax, insurance, pension scheme. what will be will be.....just dont rush it.
