Honey it will be OK,you are having mood swings which is pretty normal having while pregnant.Give it a little time until you get use to the idea of having another child =)

Maybe you are just not excited yet. How far along are you? Sometimes, women get most excited and their feelings about their soon coming baby change when they can hear the baby's hearbeat and find out if they are having a girl or boy or both. The flip side may be that you really did not want to have another baby even though you were trying. Trying is the fun part, but sometimes you get what you wanted and you are not always happy with the result. Try shopping for baby items. You do not have to buy anything but just go window shopping and take hubby with you, or a close friend, or just go solo. It is amazing to see some of the things they have for baby now. You may even notice a few things that are different from when you had your first. Try to get a color theme for the nursery or just mix and match little items to see what you like. Maybe you could even buy a small gift for baby such as a personalized blanket if you have already chosen a name, or a stuffed animal, or something else.

We got pregnant on perpose as well and for the first few weeks I was saying "what the hell was I thinking?" I was so sick I just couldn't see past it and still doesn't feel like it is real. Right now I just feel miserable not pregnant. My father in law just called to see if we want a crib and changing table or if we have one picked out. I am only 9wks, I haven't even allowed myself to think that far, sure I will take it. I think it is normal to feel this way. I am sure you will be happy eventually. DH is already thrilled but he's not the one pregnant with all of the funky hormones going on.

I hope to feel better once I can feel the baby and maybe it seems more real.

Good luck and I hope you can feel better soon. It's a good sign that you want to be happy about it. You care.

Take a deep breath and try to relax. Most women go through this. Even though you wanted this baby and tried so hard it shock of it being actual is alot to take it. Suddenly it goes from a dream to a reality. This is normal. I myself went through the same thing. When I found out I was pregnant, I was not prepared. Thought I had the flu. I took the test just to be doubly sure and yup, Pregnant!... I remember looking at the test and sitting on the bathroom floor crying. Wondering how we (hubby and I) were going to do it. I had just started a new job, we were in the process of selling our house and wow, we were pregnant. After a while the scary stuff takes a back seat to the amazing part. You are carrying a BABY. It will all work out, you will get elated and excited. Give yourself time to let it all sink in. Good Luck!

ever thought about the possibility of pre-natal depression? It's more common than you may think. I am suffering that at the moment after the same situation, thankfully i am getting help, and every day i am getting more excited about this baby. If it isn't pre-natal depression, it could be that you are stressed out, or you might be nervous about having another child, and unknowingly that might be getting you down. It really helps to talk to your doctor about the way you are feeling, so as they can asess the situation properly. If you don't want to do that, just see how you go, if you improve or start to feel worse about it all, then see what you want to do from there. Congrats and good luck! Remember to enjoy the experience

Blame it all on the hormones. Even without pregnancy, a woman's hormones are powerful. When you're pregnant, they're way beyond your control. Additionally, having a second child changes the family dynamics in ways a lot of people don't think about until it's actually here. You'll be fine, I'm sure.

Don't worry, some women get the "baby blues" even before the baby comes. It's not unheard of. These feelings often are more common during the first trimester. It could also just be the normal mood swings that happen in pregnancy.

If your symptoms get worse (trouble sleeping, changes in eating habits, unusual fatigue, loss of interest in activities that you usually love) you should see your doctor to make sure that it isn't a mild case of depression. Good luck!

Well, your house hold is about to get a little bigger. You are used to having one child and now you are having another. It could be a little scary. I have two children. 8 years apart. One is a year old. It's quite a change. You're back to getting up at night and it is totally dependant on you. Diapers. The whole works. Just give it time. Soon enough you will adjust. It takes adjustments.

I can relate and understand how you feel . I went through the exact same situation when I was pregnant with our son/2nd child. Now looking back I think I was mostly concerned about the change to our family it would make. Also now its wonderful. Don't worry about it. It should work itself out fine.

Some of us don't like being pregnant. Are there other issues going on that are making you feel this way? Try talking to your husband, maybe he can help make you feel better about the new baby. Don't worry, once you have him/her you will be just as thrilled as you were with the first one. Take some time to pamper yourself.....try to enjoy the attention.
