my dr and i just talked about this today, its not that the baby slows down in movement, its just that there isnt much space left so it will be more of a "squirm" you feel as opposed to a kick. My dr said that if the babies movement slows down you need to monitor it, if you dont count 10 movements in an hour then something is wrong and you need to call labor and delivery and let them know you are on your way.

It is so cool to watch them move in there!! I never heard that no decrease in movement means that you will be late. It's possible that your baby just has plenty of room in there because you are big or she is small or she is just in a position where she can easily move or you could also be sensitive to her movements. I know they sometimes slow down in moving near the end but, mine never did and she was 3 weeks early.

I don't know whether that is right, but I had movements all the time little miss just didn't stop for one minute! I was only 3 days late, even in labour babies move, but I was told when I went to my birthing classes that is bub doesn't move then there maybe something wrong and your best seeing your doctor, but first you take a drink of cold coke or something similar with lots of sugar, it makes bub go crazy.

The baby will slow down mainly because it runs out of room to turn and move. If your baby is not large, she may not slow down......

It's an old wives tale that babies "slow down". You baby should be active numerous times during a 24 hour period.

Are you drinking any caffeine or eating any chocolate? That will do it. Well, at least you know that your baby is alive and well.
