My suggestion if you still have the original boxes the computer came in, is to try to repack it the best you can and try to return it because you're too dumb to use it.
Or you can find a 5 y/o to start it up for you.

I agree with you!
I too find it most difficult to be sure that the da_n thing is plugged into the darn wall.
I have a lot of difficulty making sure that the power cable is plugged in at the wall AND the back of the comp.
It is extremely difficult to make sure that the power leads from the power supply to the MOBO are solidly attached to their respective sockets.
Sheesh, you didn't even say whether or not the cooling fan made any noise at all.
AND, worst of all, I may never get over the fact that I have to push the 'ON' switch, usually located somewhere on the front of the comp. I will admit that some of 'em are hard to find as mine is.
It may be located where it is hard to see but if you keep looking and maybe, yes maybe, get lucky, you will see it and VOILA you hear some pleasant noises like a computer running.
Oh well, it is only ME talkin',

Are you serious, or sarcastic????????
To turn a computer, you press a big button on the computer cover.
Pressing a button on the keyboard won't help unless the computer's sleeping.
Hitting it or throwing it won't do anything but damage it.

Please watch your language, and don't show your anger. It's usually very obvious where on/off switch is located on the computer.
Don't show your ignorance. LOL
