I think so b.c he was an excellent player even b4 those allegations

I think without a doubt. First of all even before all this steriod buisness he was an outstanding player. He was the fist to steal 400 bases and hit 400 homers. A distction achived by no other major leauge player. Add to that his 8 gold gloves, and his 3 MVP awards (he'll finish with an unpricented 7 MVP's)before his alledged steriod use and there's a hall of fame carrer right here.
It's also worth noting that his use of steriods is NOT a proven fact. I'm not saying it didn't happen i'm just willing to reserve judgement until all the facts are known. We mave have suspcion and innuendo but we don't have facts. (incidently the testimony of a spurred girl friend isn't particurlay comelling or credible in my view but that may just be me)
But even if he is guilty (and he may well be) He's played during an era where streriod use was rampant among the players, hitters and pithcers alike. I consider it the steriod area. I think each player should be judged agaisnt their respective era's not all the ones that came before. So with 760 homers and counting, 8 Gold Gloves, 2 batting titles, 400 plus steals, and before he's done undoubtedly 3,000 hits, Bonds simply is the best player of his era period!
Finally Bonds most impressive achivement is not his homeruns, it's his mythic plate discipline. Walking 200 plus times in a season for sevreal years. Never in the history of the game has anyone shown that kind of plate discpline and mental toughness. Steriods didn't give him plate discpline, hard work, mental toughness and determination did. I don't get a vote but if I didn i'd vote for Bonds first ballot no question!

Although Bonds isn't the greatest role model for aspiring baseball players or sports enthusiasts, he has and continues to put up tremendous numbers in virtually every category that merit Hall of Fame induction when his career is over.

There are plenty of other players who have abused steroids that can't even compare to what Bonds has done. As players such as Tony Gwynn (a non-roid user) have mentioned, one of the hardest things to do in all of sports is to hit a tiny baseball coming at you at various speeds with a thin bat. The Hall of Fame has several "jerks" and unfavorable players in it, such as Ty Cobb (he wasn't a media or player favorite either).

Bonds is an amazing ballplayer...too bad he couldn't be an amazing person as well.

Definitely yes. I'm not letting anyone other than the Hall of Fame Committee and the sports writers make the decision. It's been their call ever since.....

Fans can say anything negative they want, but don't have anything to do with the voting. The haters will be overruled by people with intelligence and a true sense of what skill truly is!

I think he should because even if he did not take steroids he would have still been a great player. ( and a little faster too), but even though he took steriods before he started taking them he had many stolen bases and home runs. Heck they have not even proven his guilyness in taking steriods, but I really think even without steroids he would have been a 500 homerun man. Look at pete rose he gambled and made it. So theere is a lot of players wou did that and took steriods.

Im not a bonds fan, but i think he should go into the hall of fame.... he is one of the best hitters in the game, and im not talking home runs alone.... he can hit the ball where ever he wants, he has that ability to......... when he was younger he was a five tool player, and a damn good one at that.... he deserves to go.....

Just Barry Bonds.

He should. Whether or not he did steroids and steroid error or not, he is still an incredible player. He is the most feared player and best batter of this generation and perhaps of all time. Even if you take away his home runs he still has put together a very nice career because until his injury issues he was an excellent fielder, base stealer, and contact hitter.

Barry Bonds should be in HoF unless you can legally prove that he took steroids or he makes a confession for something he did not do.

I think that Baroids records are tainted for all time. There will never be a conversation about the records without steroid allegations, but they are only allegations and until they are more, there is no choice than to take Baroid as a 1st ballet Hall of Famer. I believe Barry is guilty as H3LL but until he is convicted he is innocent.
