It's all relative. Those that think the early stages of rap and hip hop were not involved with serious beef and battles are wrong. That's all part of the evolution of rap and hip hop. The beef has just gone beyond what it used to be and it's getting a bit out of hand, however I still think that the beef keeps things interesting. It forces both sides to give their best. Personally I'm not sure what the south's best would consist of, considering they have not proved to be as lyrically diverse and talented as the east, but hey...I guess I will sit back and see what happens.

Let's see who we got down here in the South:
Chamillionaire
UGK
Lucky Luciano
Chingo Bling
Paul Wall
Ludacris
Yung Joc
Young Jeezy
Gorilla Zoe
Big Tuck
Tum Tum
Currency
Lil Wayne
Lil Keke
Lil Flip
Lil Scrappy
Lil Wyte
Mike Jones
T.I.
Pitbull
Project Pat
Rich Boy
Slim Thug
Trae
Scarface
Young Dro
8 Ball & MJG
That's more than enough to wreck on New York.
50 Cent can barely rap. This dude MIMS just trying to copy us. I heard Fat Joe got a grill, must have taken one off a slab or some shyt, cause it had to be big. Jim Jones sounds like a constipated rapper. Jay Z, not a damn thing to say about him, respect for him, same goes for Nas. But the rest of them can just shut the **** up.

I want East Coast, yet provide lots props to the South. they have some actual solid rappers (Luda, Andre, Scarface, Little Brother to call some), yet i think of their rubbish rappers outnumber the garbage rappers from the east. i do no longer likely get into all of that coastal stuff, if the beats bangin and the flows are kickin, then its all solid to me. i'm reppin the 410 (MD)

This is honestly the stupidest post I've ever seen.
There was no winner to the west/east coast beef, Pac and Biggie both died in a grossly exaggerated beef.
You're obviously either 1. stupid or 2. have no real hip-hop background.
Real hip-hop will not be ''back at the top'' until it loses its gigantic popularity.
Money makes music, music makes money, money makers like music that makes money because, hey, who doesn't like money?
Until hip-hop is no longer profitable, record companies will continue to throw together slapstick crews with no real talent backed by mediocre producers who make quasi-synthesizer funk with the Fruity Loops base samples.
It's not all the South, either (note, MIMS).

Ha....they yap like they are doing bad interviews on WWE to sell CDs. The only beef they have is when fans aren't gullible anymore to that garbage. And taking a look at CD sales for 2007, the act appears to be getting really old.
