Dose everyone have the abiliy, like a mucel but we just dont use it so it dies or what?

Agree with tentofield. It seems that there are many excuses why not prove psychic ability but not one reason to prove it. Evidence not stories.

Someone that claims to have paranormal abilities is one of the following:

1. A Liar. People do lie. Assuming that everyone in the paranormal community is trustworthy is a pipe dream. They will for various reasons but for attention and/or money would be a reason. Lots of scammers on Yahoo.
2. Mistaken or self-delusional.
3. Insane.
4. Telling the truth. Someone that does not fear any type of independent controlled testing because they can truthfully do what they claim. Without the use ANY type of excuses. Go to bat for you team, win the James Randi Educational Foundation million dollar prize. Prove to the world and end all speculation.
It would be equal to man landing on the moon.

I believe in the theory that people were originally all psychic. As we evolved and developed better communication methods and technology,we had less of a need for it, so some have evolved not to have it. It would also explain why it runs in families, perhaps certain blood lines haven't evolved not to have it as quickly. I also think animals are psychic to a certain degree and they are affected the same way. if you look at what happened in the Tsunami a few years ago, virtually all the wild animals vacated the area before it happened, even though the people had no idea what was coming. The only animals that stayed were domestic pets, and domestic pets have their needs taken care of so they are not forced to rely on their instincts or psychic abilities, which has probably made them weaken over time. I don't think it goes away if you dont use it in your lifetime. The ability runs in my family, and I have psychic episodes, spontaneously, regardless of whether or not I'm trying. Delibrately reading doesn't seem to make it any stronger or weaker. I think what you're born with is what you're born with. The strength may depend on how much you pay attention to it and how well you track interpretations to learn what they mean.

We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

To add my $.02 I would venture that yes, everyone has a 'psychic' capability.

Psychic ability is a combination of intiuition, empathy with a little unknown added for flavor. Everyone can develop these skills. Some people seem born with them already 'swtiched on', and others have it brought to life by an event. More and more people are realizing that they don't have to do either of these things, and that its a skill that can be taught.

Certainly there are degrees of these things, just like any other sense. I, for example, need glasses in order to see anything more than 3 feet from my face. That's made up by my 'psychic' ability.

The reason children are more open to these things (and also to the supernatural) is that we as a society haven't yet taught them to ignore that part of their thoughts. We repress thoughts and ideas in our cultures, which had lead in the past to fear of those invididuals who can easily access these abilities.

More and more people are coming to think for themselves, and not allow themselves to be herded like sheep. As this happens, empathic and intuitive eyes open.

Clairaudience - Intuitive
This is a person who will pick up a thought and hear it. This persons mental or intellectual understanding is very important and they can make good leaders. We all know someone that we would say was a mental person, always having to understand mentally. They carefully think things through. If this person were to become enlightened they would have the ability to become a medium, someone who channels information from entities who have passed over, because their most heightened sensitivity is to hear.

Clairvoyance- Visionary
This is a person who will pick up a thought and see it. This person has the ability to transform a thought into a vision, symbol or in colour by using their mind's eye. If an artist, a decorator, a creative person, someone who mainly uses the right side of their brain were to become enlightened they would have the ability to read auras, our chakras, draw guides and this is how they would channel what they received because the ability to see images is their most heightened sensitivity.

Clairsentience - Prophetic (1)
This is a person who will pick up a thought and just knows it. This person is sensitive to precognition and has hunches, dreams and knowings and this person usually deals with the future or present and how it will affect another. If you were to meet an enlightened Prophetic you would be able to get some information about your 'line of probability', tomorrow is not set in time remember. This could be a person who has a dream about something and that dream turns out to happen in reality. They have the ability of prediction because they 'just know' and can tune into and understand their hunches.

Clairsentience - Feeler (2)
This is a person who will pick up a thought and transform it immediately into a feeling. This persons life can revolve around how it feels to them. Their sense of touch is well-developed and they have the ability to know people by feeling what they feel. After enlightenment, this is someone would have the ability to practice psychometry. The ability to put something belonging to someone in their hand and read the energy. Depending on their other gifts, they could tell the past, present or future from the energy. They have the ability to feel how others feel but only on the emotional level. They will be able to not only empathise but experience their pain, loss, grief etc. For instance, if they were to channel energy from a persons past life they would experience the pain and hurt that that soul experienced in that past lifetime.

Clairgustance - Taste
Clairgustance is being aware of tastes without putting anything physically in the mouth. To perceive the essence of a substance through taste from the spiritual or ethereal realms. The sensation of what one is tasting is often linked to a spirit on the other side.

Claircognizance - Know
The sense of knowing through our brain, even though it is not a physical sense, simply because it has a corresponding metaphysical sense known as claircognizance, or knowing without knowing how you know.

Clairolerance - The Smell
The sense of Smelling different fragrances from Spirits to find that earthly connection, strong odours you can't escape and can't explain a reason for eg: Cooking odours, Perfumes, Cigars or Cigarettes, Flowers, Extra. The characteristic essence linked to a spirit on the other side.

Psychometry - Touch
Psychometry is another form of psychic divination using the sense of touch to get mental impression linked to it. Psychometric impressions may come in the form of emotions, sounds, scents, tastes or images. The visions can appear is single flat images, much like a photo, or as animations. As we exist in an electromagnetic energy reality, metal objects often work best.

I think many have it as kids and loose it as they get older. Some have it and don't realize. When you hear about gut instinct...that's an ability. Not every one has it. Some never loose it and it gets stronger and others loose it all together.
Also people have different abilities. Some visualize and others hear or feel. It varies just as people do.
Most people who don't have it right away don't believe any one else does.
People don't realize that its a gift. Some people are gifted singers, others are gifted dancers. Some are just gifted in other ways.

There is no evidence anywhere that anyone has ever demonstrated psychic powers or any other form of paranormal ability. There are plenty of charlatans out there who will happily take your money but also plenty of honest people, such as water diviners, who think they have abilities but can never demonstrate them under test conditions.

If anyone thinks they have paranormal ability or knows someone who has there are prizes waiting to be claimed.

I've wondered the same thing actually. I think that at this point, everyone may not be capable of it as our thinking is too primitive. But as we evolve (not physically) we'll understand it more and possibly more people will be able to tap into it!
