I will only try to hide the sadness. There was a time where I cried in the middle of lecture and my friends were shocked. But I never wailed or shrieked or sobbed or made a sound - I simply stared ahead, listened to the lecturer and let the tears fall.

I couldn't hide my emotions, even if I tried...and I usually don't try to. The people who genuinely care about me, always know exactly how I'm feeling at any given moment.

Yes, I try too. And I do a pretty good job with all of them except anger. I'm 37 years old and have tried my entire life to conceal that one. As of yet..........not happening.

Oh yes, my childhood did that to me and I have never gotten over it. My first husband, who purposely goaded me, finally announced that I was not human. It is very handy in some ways but not always.
