Until the age of emancipation a person really has no rights. Emancipation is age 18 with exceptions for marriage, military service, or court order. Most places allow 15 and 16 year olds to drive with parental permission. A teenager may "own" a car, but legally it belongs to the parents.

In most US states the driving age is between 16 and 18. In other countries (this question is appears in more than 1 country) the answer will be different. Some states allow you to OWN a car at any age. Others require you to be old enough to drive before a car can be titled in your name.

It depends on the state. In California, the legal driving age is 16.

some states (like texas) let you drive at 15 and can start working on your permit at 14. you can own a car at any age though, it doesn't really matter. i was 14 and had a car. i just couldn't drive it.

Are you in the US? Different states have different laws. A regular driver's license in PA is for 18 year olds and above.

A person of any age can own a car.
