I was watching Dateline to catch a predator, So if there are children out there talking to adults where are the parents when they are online. I know most of the cases the children aren't children, but this really bothers me, is this entrapment by the law? And how can you be quilty when your not talking to a child and haven't committed a crime?

1. Dateline is NOT a law enforcement agency.
2. The do not entice anyone to commit a crime they would not otherwise commit.
3. Attempting to meet a minor for the purpose of having sex is illegal. The fact the person believed they were meeting a minor is the crime.
4. I'm not sure the people caught by the show are actually put on trial.
