If you have a plugged up converter your car will not go very fast or wont run @ all so yes it will hurt your engine. making to much back pressure on engine.

Yup sure can just rip the damn thing out and the car will run even better than before. unless you live in caly then get it fixed taking it off is illegal.

yes, it WILL also kill performance. Imagin plugging your butt and eating at a buffet
