Do either of these quotes from the linked article surprise you?
"...and those who said they never attend religious services read nearly twice as many as those who attend frequently."
"Those likeliest to read religious books included older and married women, LOWER EARNERS, minorities, LESSER EDUCATED PEOPLE, Southerners, rural residents, Republicans and conservatives"

Smart guy like you, you knew that your question was not a political one, didn't you?
Was this guy a dumb southerner?

Southerners actually read more than the rest of the country. And liberals read slightly more than conservatives.
Make sure you read the whole article so that you don't end up looking silly, unless you're one of the 1 in 4 people that doesn't actually read books, then we're all just happy started the article.

James,
If you are capable, please ask yourself this question honestly:
If you have to try and prove your point by adding "Republicans and conservatives" to a list where they don't already appear, is the point you're trying to make, or side you're on, really that good to begin with?
The positions you take in life should be strong enough that you don't have to lie. Sadly, for you, your phony question proves otherwise.
And I would also like to add...people who earn less, minorities, less educated, and non-religious (like the true list says) are 9 times out of 10...democrats.
James, do not forget...the wise mind seeks its own answers.
Good luck to you in life.

I have a library full of books that I have read; the topics range from comparative mythology to quantum mechanics to the Dead Sea scrolls to baroque music to matrix algebra to Zen Buddhism to computer hardware to, finally, scimitar-wielding dark elves.

I cant add anymore to your question.. self descriptive, and frankly self explanatory. It's no surprise that the majority of the Military comes from the South either.

Lovely, the left will fight tooth and nail for the rights of enemy combatants and mourn when they go to jail, then turn around an insult their very own brethren in America. And they wonder why the right thinks they hate America.
