I started in the Republican party with visions of Eisenhower and smart fiscal policy...I then became a democrat for a very brief time when they were the only party that actually believed in fiscal responsibility (that was Clinton). Now I am a tried and true independent because it appears to me that it is about individuals and not party programs that really matter.
That is the reason I am now on the Obama train. As a fiscal conservative with liberal foreign policy views, I find that his courage and integrity are something that are unique to him of all the candidates. But won't be able to vote in the primary because of my independent status...oh well.

Does it really matter what party people belong to? I think is does but only if they vote. Otherwise all they do is talk. I saw more Iraqis risk their life to vote. Here we can't even get them to the poles. Sad isn't it? The answer to your question is Republican. Why because I don't think that taxes and government are the answers to all that is wrong in this country. I think that taking responsibility for your own actions, or in-actions, is the answer. I don't think that there should be such a thing as "entitlements". The only thing you are entitled to is life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But you must pursue happiness. You are not just entitled to it. If you are not happy, I should not have to provide it to you from my hard earned pay.

I'm a Republican and a true Conservative (non-religious, pro-science).
Although I'm still debating changing my registration to Libertarian. I know that is where most of the true Conservatives have went, but I keep a glimmer of hope alive in my heart that the Republicans will become non-religious again someday and the NeoConservatives will all die off in some horrific tragedy.

I Don't have any affiliation, but I support the positions of several parties depending on the issue. For instance when it comes to Illegal immigration, I hold a very conservative stance. On the other hand, when it comes to abortion, politically I am very liberal, although personally I am conservative. So you see, in my case, it depends entirely on what issue is being presented.

I am a conservative Libertarian. You can't legislate morality - legalize it, regulate it, and tax the hell out of it.
I tend to vote Republican because the left scares the hell out of me.

I'm not a member of a "Political Party", but this may help:
The links I have included are surveys to determine if you are "Left", "Right" or "Center"...
