I would ask God, "Could I read the Bible as it was first written, with none of the translations and changes?"
This has been on my mind alot lately. There have been so many revisions, additions, translations, deletions; how are we suppose to know what God really said and meant versus what some priest or Jesuit decided to print? Sorry, I no longer buy the "he was being guided by God" answer.
