How do you determine someone to be a terrorist elsewhere?? Do terrorist orgnizations and the employees of said organizations carry i.d. or wear terror logos on their clothing? Wha I hear alot is that we are killing people "suspected" of being linked to a terrorist group. Don't these other people have rights also? What is a suspected terror suspect? A person who might have asked a known terror suspect the time? Did they have a brief conversation about the weather, or maybe they asked where the bomb store was? I'd like to know.
What does a suicide bomber in Iraq have to do with my security in america? Just keep their azz there. We need better laws on immigration. We need to discriminate more because these terror suspects all seem to be of a certain nationality. Randomly screening young american children is just dumb. Randomly screening americans who are obviously not terror suspects is idiotic and only makes our security look foolish.

You are kind of on track but, not really. Thankfully you acknowledge the fact that there is an Islamic terrorist threat. That’s a start.
They need a base of operations. We took that away (at first) in Afghanistan. Regardless of what the mindless MSM and the radical leftwing “new sites” and blogs tell you, Saddam’s Iraq funded and housed terrorist organizations. We took it away from them there and they want it back.
Furthermore, Iraq is a stepping stone to Europe and a mighty fine source of oil and therefore, funding for the various terrorist organizations united primarily under The Islamic Brotherhood umbrella.
Do a little (lot) more research and then come back to us. ;o)

I would rather each country get rid of the terrorists within their own countries through the use of their intelligence groups and by sharing information with other countries. While I agree with the attack on Afghanistan because the country allowed the terrorists to base and train there and their government worked with Al Qaida, other circumstances do not warrant attacking a whole country to get at a few terrorists. To me, declaring war on the terrorists is not a realistic approach to the problem. It just seems to make them multiply.

Before we can truly combat terrorism, we must look at it's root cause; poverty. Poverty leads to desperation and hopelessness and that is what terrorist organizations feed upon when looking for recruits. They say "join us and we will defeat the Americans who have so much water, they dig holes in the ground and swim in it, while we don't even have a glass of water to drink. Then the Americans come to our land, take our oil and make deals favorable only to themselves and to our government, rape the land, making untold fortunes while we starve and struggle to feed our families..." How do you fight terrorism? Economic aid, jobs, food and clean drinking water, and access to hospitals. Why would any sane person join up with a terrorist organization if they can provide for themselves and their family without risking their life? If the gap between the Haves and the have-nots here in America continues to grow, I believe you will either see an increase in domestic terrorism or a civil war. I pray that I am wrong.

Takes two to fight. Guess it was the CIA [and George Bush] blowing up the Revolutionary Guards in Iran, too. "Iran bombing kills 5 Revolutionary Guard leaders" TEHRAN, Iran – A suicide bomber killed five senior commanders of the powerful Revolutionary Guard and at least 37 others Sunday near the Pakistani border in the heartland of a potentially escalating Sunni insurgency. As long as those religious whack jobs have each other, and trained foreign troops, to attack, it will keep them out of the upper floors of tall Western, office building. The US presents causing terrorism ... think not! . From 2000: All Pakistan ... April 7: PakistanLahore A bomb planted on a fruit crate exploded in Medina Chowk, a large bus terminal in Lahore. April 8: Rawalpindi A bomb went off in Rawalpindi injuring five people. The explosion went off in a hotel in Raja Bazaar. April 12: Mallow Wali At least fifteen people were killed in an attack on a mosque near the capital. April 25: Quetta Three quick succession bomb blasts injured 11 people in Quetta, Pakistan. July 13: Chungi Amar Sidhu Bazar A bomb placed in a garage dump near a bus stand detonated, injuring five. July 23: Quetta Bomb in Quetta kills six and wounds 22. Sept 3: Faisalabad A bomb exploded in a crowded bus station. Sept 7: Lahore A bomb went off in the main market of Dharampura in Lahore. Sept 19: A deadly bomb explosion at a vegetable market left nineteen dead and many injured. Nov 2: Raja Bazar A bomb detonated at the Raja Bazar injured twenty-six people. . .

I'd rather we take the fight to the people the terrorists are fighting /for/. Concentrating on the terrorists is like trying to shoot the gun out of the bad guy's hand. It only works on TV.

Actually if the truth be told, we would not be in this situation if YOUR president (Clinton) would have stood up to terrorism and did something about it. This has gone of for quite some time. Not just since Bush took over. Do a little research, read a little history before you go singing the same crap that the rest of the liberal sheep in country sing. W is the first one to take a stand on this the good ol days of Reagan.

Shelly, your whole posting is very misguided! It's clear that you are brainwashed by the left-wing, send this country down the toilet, liberal media! If your pissy, cowardly hero Billy Boy would've had the nads to do something with bin Laden the 3 times he was offered on a silver platter...9/11 may not have even ocurred! Another reminder, your heroes Bill and Hill downgraded the military and tried to ignore it and we paid the price! Perhaps you should move to Pakistan and be with your kind.

This is a poorly contrived and illogical argument.
I'm not saying I'm for the Iraq war, but the above argument holds no water and makes illogical assumptions, crude generalizations, and ad hominem attacks.
What do you hope to accomplish, other than get people who already agree with you to state that they agree with you?
You won't convince anyone with that nonsense.
