1. they call my home unsolicited to sell something. If I was interested I would inquire-that was the #1 answer I used to get when I worked telemarketing. 2. they never take 'no' for an answer. Again, I used to work in telemarketing and some companies have refusal rules, that they must keep trying for a certain number of times before they take 'no'. 3. most people get called by someone who has a very heavy accent and you can't understand what they're saying which makes them even angrier. This goes hand in hand with someone who sounds pissed off in the first place. 4. most companies use automatic dialers which leaves a delay from when you answer and when their computer connects them to you.

As soon as I get the call, I feel like a salesman just stuck his foot in the door. I had to get up to answer the phone, stop whatever I was doing, just so someone can refinance my mortgage, or ask me if I want my water tested. I personally use well water and own my house outright. When I inform these stubborn people of these facts, they keep rambling on as if I'm lying or if they didn't hear me. I now let them make their pitch, ask lot of questions, and only then, when they finally think they got the sale, I tell them "no thank you, please remove me from your calling list". I figure if they want to waste my time, I can waste their time. If I just hang up, they're going to find some one else right away and get back to work

I don't purchase anything from solicitors who call, or visit, my home. It's an invasion of privacy and an annoyance. They're pushy and often rude. If I wish to buy something, I'll place the call or order on my own, thank you. I realize that it's someone's job, and they may not like doing it, but I feel like it's preying on the ignorant, who often don't understand and can't afford what they're getting into.

We are bombarded by people trying to sell us something all the time. Enough is enough, we don't want it on our phone as well. We pay for our phone, it's so we can use it and speak to people we wish to speak to. We don't want strangers calling us taking up our valuable time in the sanctity of our own home calling us up to sell us something. If I want to buy something I will call you, leave my phone alone.

Also when someone calls you are usually doing something and if I'm going to stop doing something to answer the phone then I want it to be someone I know or about something important to me, not selling something.

Do you want telemarketers calling you when your eating dinner, cooking dinner, reading your kids a bedtime story or helping them with their homework???

They don't take no for an answer which forces you to be rude and hang up on them. You could always do what Jerry Seinfeld said. He said to tell them you are busy right now but if they give you their home phone # you will call them right back. They usually get confused and hang up anyway.

The telemarketers that call my house are actually machines that are annoying. They keep talking and talking and that annoys me. I can't get a word in or anything. So I just hang up. Some people are very rude as well. You tell them you're not interested, but instead they keep pushing and pushing, so I get mad, and just hang up.

Some of them are nice, though. I talked to this guy once and he was really sweet. =)

The fact that when you say no thank you nicely they keep on going like the extra 2 mins of my time they waste is going to get them the sale.

Just the fact that I have my name on the "no call" list and they still call annoys me. They usually call during dinner or even on holidays. I had one to call on Thanksgiving Day!!! I was like, Are you kidding me?
