We have booked a two-night vacation to Vegas in December. We chose Circus Circus because it was very cheap and we thought the kitsch factor would make it a funny place to stay. We have since heard a lot of bad things about it. We don't want to change our reservation, as there are substantial fees involved that would make it not worth it. But we don't want to get stuck in the dodgy sounding manor rooms either... Has anyone booked through Allegiant with Circus Circus? If so, what ws your experience? We aren't high-maintenance travellers, and are cool with less than fancy accommodations. Thanks!

We stayed at the Circus Circus many years ago. Have been through it a number of time sinces. It is an older hotel so keep that in mind. We found it fun and since it's on the "Strip" it's a big plus.

It is clean and that's all I care. I don't spend much time in a hotel room when I'm in LV. Have fun! We've been booking packages through Allegiant a number of times and have been happy with all of them.

Circus-Circus is OK in the sense that it is safe and conforms to basic health and cleanliness standards. It also has a lot of little children and parents who are trying to vacation on a budget, which accounts for the lower-end buffets, etc. Consider it a place to sleep and a base to explore the rest of Las Vegas. The only thing really wrong about Circus-Circus is that is doesn't compare well to the other Strip properties (most of which are pretty impressive).

Also, as someone else mentioned, other similar-priced Strip properties like the Flamingo have aged better than Circus-Circus, so you might want to consider those for the next trip (Circus Circus is really for the kids).

So, ignore all the bad stories you've heard about Circus-Circus (they really originate from people comparing hotels that cost 3 to 6 times as much per night). It sounds like you've got a good price on the rooms. It's safe and clean (enough) so that you'll sleep just fine. The rooms may require some walking to get to (but then again you did get a good price on the rooms which is one of the tradeoffs).

It *is* on the Strip and in a good enough location that you can enjoy all that Vegas has to offer very easily.

I have to be honest with you. Circus Circus is really not a great place. The manor rooms are the worst ones there and they are essentially a motel located behind the main hotel. It's not the best location since it is on the northern part of the strip. If budget is what you want, the Sahara and Tropicana are of the same era, but they have weathered a bit better.

It has the most horrid food on the Strip. Don't waste your money on it. Ride the Deuce bus anywhere else downtown to Fremont Street or down the Strip and take advantage of your cheap lodging.... as that is really all it is.

If you get stuck in Manor Rooms (or anywhere you deem unsatisfactory - unclean - smelly/smokey), demand to be changed at the Front Desk and escalate to the manager if you are still not satisfied.

Have fun in Vegas and don't be overly concerned. It is just a bed!
