i have 2 girls and needed the AntiD needle as well. my first baby i had it in the top of my leg about 30mins after having her and i didnt even feel it. But with my second who is 15 months i had to have 3 AntiD needles. they said they have to space them out now.Not sure why, but to keep my baby and me safe i had to have them. and these ones where give in the top of my arm. Hope i helped and if you are eally worried i would ask your doctor or midwife. Good luck.

Have had the anti D injection several times, they will inject it into thigh muscle...it is painful but that outweighs the risks of not having it & the discomfort subsides pretty quickly ~ i used to focus on something other than the needle, it helped me so might be worth trying. Good Luck x

I was injected in my right thigh. It didnt hurt, and to be honest after the birth of a baby, a needle in the thigh is nothing

Usually injected into the top of your arm. It is injected into the muscle. Whilst it can be injected into the thigh, pregnant women often carry extra weight there and if the anti D is injected into fat instead of muscle it does not work fully. Your midwife giving the injection will use her clinical judgment - ie if you are really skinny she may give it in your thigh but otherwise you should be given it in the top of your arm.

Its injected into the top of your thigh, I was with my friend when she had her baby an she had the injection. Believe me you will not be bothered about an injection after giving birth!! Good luck.

No not in the vein, its in your thigh and it doesnt hurt because its done in the fat area, I had three shoots of them which is normailly if you need to have it during you preg, but same women all have 2 becuase the baby is the same bloody as the mother so they dont need the third shoot!
But it doesnt hurt turst me, been there and have to go thou it again soon!!!!

They are given in the butt or top back area of ur hips most times. Thats where I had mine, and thats where we GIVE them. One during pregnancy, and one after IF the baby just born is Rh+. If the baby is Rh- then there is no need for one after delivery.
