The correct spelling is Democrat. Just yesterday in the newspaper: " The Middle East is becoming more destabilized". "The US National Intelligence Estimate Report indicates that Al Qaida and other terrorists groups are strengthening". "Iran's influence is growing". "The resignation of key Sunni ministers brings the government closer to collapse". "Iraq's electrical and water systems are on the verge of collapse". "The Pentagon lost track of at least 110,000 AK-47s and pistols given to Iraqi's security forces". "The cost of the war has mushroomed to $12 billion a month, with a projected total price tag of $1 trillion to $ 2 trillion". "4,000+ American troops and more than 1,000 American contractors have been killed". "The Bush administration which has consistently sidelined the UN from being too involved in Iraq, is apparently desperate to try innovative approaches and new partners to stem the downward spiral." And that was coming from the GOP. What was that you said about something working?

What is military progress when it isn't accompanied by political and civil progress. The rebuilding isn't goin' too well, and the Sunni and Shia seem unable to structure a fair government. Why keep wasting resources if the Iraqi government is held together with scotch tape? How many years and young men are we gonna give them to get their act together? We need to keep some troops there for anti-terrorist activities. Terrorists that are only there because of our ill planned invasion and occupation.

Even Cheney said in 1994 what a bad mistake it would be to occupy Iraq because of their sectarianism. I'm proud of our military to have improved the security in parts of Iraq. I'm not proud of Iraq's government for taking a month off and for being unable to unite.
These people do not call themselves Iraqi's. They call themselves Sunni's, Shiites, and Kurds. They are all vying for power over the country. That is why people feel there is little hope of Iraq turning out the way we would like to see it. I hope they prove us wrong but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Great - so we should be hearing any day now that electricity and water services have been repaired safely and the Iraqi people are once again walking and driving freely? Eh?

brigs doesn't know the difference between the surge and the Iraqi govt.
My guess is he doesn't care as long as he can point to something he thinks we're losing on and feel content.

Some Democrats are getting worried that we might Win.
Democrats have been supporting the Insurgents, but they want to be on our side, if we win.
Democrats are hypocrites.
