I was there in June and just loved it. Gorgeous city, very friendly locals, delicious food, very interesting history.

I'd recommend staying in the Alfama district, lots of good and cheap restaurants there, along with fado houses - fado is traditional Portuguese singing, really nice. I wouldn't bother with a car if you're staying there, parking's a bit of a problem. Anyway, you won't need one in Lisbon as the public transport is very good.

Lots of places of interest in Lisbon - you know that the Portugese were great explorers, and discovered much of South America? So they had the means to build some rather fabulous palaces and churches.

You know what? Get yourself a DK Eyewitness Guide for Lisbon. It'll tell you the basics, and when you get there you can ask the locals about anything that's going on.

In November maybe you can catch some rains, but I think isn't a problem.
Place to go?! If is you first time in Lisbon, you have to go to Belem and Rossio.
There is nice restaurants in Belem, if you can to eat fish, for example. Isn't difficult to find restaurants in Lisbon
