I like how a lot of people are thinking about animals, and I'd definitely do the same. good call everyone!

I would give at least half of it away.
I used to go to stores and see someone who was trying to count their change to make enough to pay for something and I would walk up and lay down a $50 bill and say," This is for you ", and walk out the door. After my divorce, I gave away almost all that I had left.
Nowadays I tend to pick out one or two people and just help them. I have been helping a single mother for about 4 years and my wife and I have even let people live with us for a few months at a time, while they tried to put away some money for a nest egg.
Helping others, especially total strangers, is the most fun you can have.

YEAH! But if i won several million id give more :)
I'd give to only limited # of charities that I know have actually done good, like American Cancer society and ASPCA.
Probably donate to local shelters as well as a small amount to habitat for humanity.

Yes!
There is a charity for girls in Harlem NYC that I would give to right away.
They take girls who were formerly involved in prostitution & help them to build their self esteem. They also help them finish school & get skills to keep them off of the streets.
I read an article in Marie Claire a year or two ago & I was so touched...

a million dollars isnt really that much anymore. i mean id take it if i was offered it but i wouldnt give it to charity. if i had a billion id give like a million to charity maybe

Yes! I already donate money yearly to our community's theraputic horse riding center for special needs children. I would give some to them and maybe "adopt" a family to help in my town. We did that one year at my workplace, and it felt really good to buy little poor kids Christmas presents and supply them with their schoolclothes and stuff. Giving oftentimes really does feel better than receiving. D@amn! Where's Tiny Tim! I feel like I am in a Dicken's novel!

Actually I also said in some of my answers that any animal that walks into my lawn will be well sheltered and be up for adoption.
on my 100 acre lawn.
And any homeless man I will give 50 bucks.
And give 20k to the needy center.

Yes. My family has used food banks numerous times and my dad has COPD. So i would give some of it to food banks to pay back their kindness for helping us out and I would give some to the COPD foundation.
