The wires inside the cord are broken or frayed. You have to get another cord and wire it in. It is not hard. You have to take the speaker box apart - probably just screws. The wires may go to screw terminals, which are easy. But... you MAY have to solder the wires onto the circuit board, and unsolder the current wire. It is not hard, and I'd be happy to do it for ya, but I can't reach that far! :D

Anyway, have a crack at it. You can't hurt anything. Just unscrew it, and take it from there, a little step at a time! :) If you find you're in over your head, you can pay BIG BUCKS to an electronic shop to fix it. Or... learn by doing. Honestly, it is NOT THAT HARD! :D I could do it for ya *EASILY*, but I can't reach it! :)

Be sure to replace the cord with the same gage cord, or heavier. (Gage is how much current the wires can carry. You can unscrew or unsolder the wires, and take the cord to Radio Shack, and they will have the right one. :)
