Maybe he was looking for trouble, seeing as he was the only white man in a store and area that mostly african americans live in and pretty much declaring it to the rafters...

I don't think I'm naieve, but is this a feeling of most men? Not just white, but any race? Or maybe it is just white.

The man sounds dangerous to me. I mean what kind of idiot goes into a store to buy a loaf of bread and just blurts out. Hello my name is Idiot, I dont date black women. That makes no sense at all. None. And Yes I know many people date outside of their race. Not everyone is living in the 50s there are some people that live peacefully and fall in love without seperating people according to race. hi lady j. that kinda sucks for him to say that. but you know what? just because he said that doesnt mean that all white men are like that. everyone has thier preferences and ignorances. it's his loss. im surprised he had the guts to say that in a predominately black store. im sure if there were some black men there he wouldntve said that, but that's a whole other story......

anyway, this is not the feeling of most men. just like these trolls on here. theyre just trying to ruffle your feathers. i date white men and that proves that there are some white men and other races do like black women as much as any other woman.

Wow!!! where have you been? white men been talking like this for centuries. It is all bullsh*t because alot of white men do date black women but most of them are racists. Not all white men are like that. Girl, you are going to have ignore sh*t like that because it will drive you nuts if you let it get to you. I remember a white man told me that he would never allow his son to marry a black girl or date her and he acted like he did not say anything wrong. That was the first time that I heard that sh*t and it did hurt because I did not expect to hear that coming from a man that was always flirting with me and he seemed like a nice guy. I think that he forgot that I was black for minute when he said that. After he told me that I was not the same with him and he was acting like what is my problem he didn't say anything wrong. I have gotten over it and this is the reason I do not date white men because I am not attracted to them and I know that most of them are racists and they will just be using me too live out they fantasies.

I mean these days I think people in general are looking to settle down or are hoping to find someone that is truly geniune and alot of dept, along with a great personality that they want to be with. These days, despite the fact that prejudiceness abt race is everywhere, I don't think race is the first thing that comes to mind when they think abt their "special someone".

I am a female, so I can only speak for myself, but he was probably just trying to get a rise out of people, especially if he was in a area with a lot of African Americans.
I know some people who only date only in their race, I know some that only date different races.
I do and am dating outside of my race. I am Caucasian and he is Arab.

No big deal. This is America, and you can date-or not date-anyone you want for whatever reason. Besides, there are plenty of black women who are not real happy about white women "taking their men". People have reservations about dating those of other races based on political, social, or just plain attractiveness/personal preference issues. Again-not a big deal. You cant be so politically correct all the time.
