There's not a whole lot to housing a Leo. You need a 20 gallon long tank w/paper towels for flooring. You'll need an Under tank heater that cover's 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the tank. You'll need a digital probe thermometer to measure cage temps. Three hides...1 cool dry, 1 warm dry and 1warm wet (this is the "moist" hide). You can make a moist hide from a margarine tub or other similar sized container. You cut a small hole in the top or side for your gecko to climb into and place damp moss, bed a beast or paper towel in the container. Place the container, with the lid on , at the warm end of the tank. Your gecko will go into the hide when they are shedding to help loosen their skin.
You will need a small container for calcium/mealworms and another small /medium container for water.
Supplements...
Calcium powder (no D3) keep in tank all of the time and dust feeders daily.
Calcium w/d3..dust feeders 1X weekly
vitamin supplement (if it contains D3 you don't need to use calcium w/d3) dust feeders 1X weekly.
Warm end should be low 90's....cool end low 70's
That's about it. They eat insects (mealworms, crickets, superworms, waxworms, ect.) I keep mealies in the tank all of the time and feed crickets /waxworms weekly.
Good lucvk with your geck, they are really fun =)

You will need a 10-20 gallon tank with papertowels on the bottom with food and water dishes, 2 hides (one dry and one wet), and branches and stones(optional), A heat lamp with a day bulb and with a night bulb(optional).
They eat two-three crickets a night for juveniles and about 2-3 crickets every other night. Juveniles eat small or "pinhead" crickets and adults eat large crickets. Waxworms may also be given a treat!! Once a week or so. If you feed them a lot of waxworms they will become addicted, fat or sick. Make sure you have calcium and vitamin powder made specifically for reptiles and put it on their food every other meal. THIS IS NECASSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crickets can be kept in a container, size depending on # of crickets, with a shallow water dish, food (vegetables, special cricket food) and lot's of crumpled nespaper. Waxworms will suffice being in a small container with oatmeal and get kept in the fridge, they will hibernate.
ALL THIS STUFF NEEDS TO GET BOUGHT AND SETUP AT LEAST A FEW DAYS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Follow Eva's advice. Pet stores give horrible care info on reptiles--ignore everything they tell you. Never use sand or loose substrate--it causes fatal impactions. No heat lamp--they need belly heat from an under tank heat mat only. Here is good info:

call the local pet stores and tell them your interested in a leopard gecko is there anyone there that can help you, when you get some good information then go and talk to that person about what you will need and all that
be careful if you set it up yourself that it cant get to close to outside lighting and burn up staying under the heat.
