I may be wrong to say this and everyone still has their final say as to weither they do but why are kids these days in such a hurry to destroy their lives. These kids are fearless and they think nothing can happen to them if they have sex. Well one maybe two of three things can happen. 1. You get lucky and don't get pregnant. 2. You get pregnant and now have the possiblility of destroying three lives from being to young and naive. 3. You get a lovely STD from someone that will never go away and then you have the chance of giving that to someone for the rest of you life.

PLEASE KIDS THINK ABOUT YOUR DECISIONS!!! That is all I ask. There is nothing wrong with waiting till you are at an age where you are responcible and have a life that is already functioning by itself.

I totally agree with you! There is nothing wrong with abstaining - in fact, there's everything RIGHT about it.

I am so tired of people telling sexually active kids to get on birth control. That's like trying to cure cancer with a band-aid.
The root of the problem is the choice kids are making. Let's help them make better choices!

My parents were involved with us, their children. They taught us right from wrong and taught us about sexual purity, how it not only pleases God, but protects us from physical, spiritual and psychological danger.

We heeded our parents wisdom because they cared enough to teach us what was right. They didn't cop out and say "if you're gonna do it, honey, please use a condom." Those words might put your child in danger of Hell and you right along with them.

We are responsible for our children's souls. We're not here to simply keep them from getting pregnant. We're here to help them not to sin.

I think that one of the biggest problems is that children are being ill advised by those who are raising them. We are so politically correct anymore that we tell them, "Wait until you're old enough to be mature and really know what you're doing.". The problem with this is kids think they're mature enough at 12, anymore. The lesson should be, "Wait until you've met the person who you want to live the rest of your life with. And once you have, plan that life and take the appropriate action to make it forever - meaning marriage." "You don't want to end up an unwed parent with diseases and no hopes for a happy future, do you?".

Honestly, people need to educate children from the time that they're young so that they're armed with the best possible defenses to make the very best possible decisions.

Sex before marriage changes your future in so many ways!! There are negative risks both spiritually and physically. Will their love for each other last a lifetime?
If you have sex before marriage you will never know whether the relationship is based on a true "kinship" with that person or just sex. Sex comes with a lot of complications that even an adult would find hard to handle, not to mention sexually transmitted diseases.

Love waits. Your relationship should be able to grow and thrive without sex. Develop a relationship that does not depend on sex for oneness. Though you cannot imagine it now, sometime in your future you will really regret having sex before you're married, if you should go ahead and do it. You are going to do what you want to do but just know, without a doubt, it is true that sex before marriage will hurt you inside.

If you have sex before marriage you lose your virginity and when you get married you are not giving your whole self to your spouse.

Sex outside of marriage is like playing Russian Roulette. You never know when the gun will fire or the person has an STD.

Sex before marriage will ultimately damage your sexual relationship with the one you do eventually marry. It is much wiser to wait and experience that person and have that person experience you for the first time without expectation of things that were before.

If you don't marry that person who you've had sex with, then the person who you do marry won't get the entire you. Sex is like a beautiful gift. It's only one special gift that should not be wasted on just a love fling.

Sex is a precious gift from God. This gift can only be given away for the first time once. Wouldn't this be a great gift for that one person who will be with you for the rest of your life?

If you love them you'll be willing to wait until marriage to have sex. It will make it all the more special. If you truly love someone you will respect them enough to wait until marriage to have sex. It's not worth the risk of pregnancy or STD. It's not fair to your future spouse

There is absolutely nothing wrong with abstinence. NOTHING. But at the same time, teens and young adults need to learn about practicing safe sex. No matter how much you teach them about abstinence, they're going to do what they want to do. If you neglect to teach them what they need to do if they decide to have sex, you are just as much responsible for what may happen (i.e. pregnancy, STDs, etc.)...

Teaching kids safe sex practices IS NOT going to encourage them to have sex, I don't care what anybody says.

I didn't wait until I was married to have sex, and I don't regret it. I wouldn't change a thing.

Well 1. I agree.. I had a baby when I was 17 and it was HARD!! but I'm getting through it ... and I dont agree on the party you say "destroying three lives" What because I had a baby my life is destroyed now??? WRONG!! That child is my life, Yes I would of hope it would of happen at a different time in my life, but that is not saying my life, my husband's or my baby's life is ruined. It only makes us work harder to give her the best. And TRUST ME she will have the best. 2. Do you think that this post is going to change anyone's mind?? Kids, teenagers, whatever the hell they are. It is not! Sorry to say. Everything happens for a reason and even if we were raised our whole lives to stay pure until marriage, THINGS happen and we move on and just live with the consequences. That's what life is! 3. If you are a young person, HMMM , I wonder if you are still a virgin? or If you have kids already, I wonder if you made mistakes in life when you were younger or I even wonder what your kids are doing? IF YOU have kids now.

I agree with you. I held out until I was 21, but sex feels so darn good and these kids will be at it like bunny rabbits whenever the mood takes 'em.

It's like talking to a brick wall, really. :)

It isn't about deliberate neglect to think about actions and consequences, it's about impulsivity, hormones, and the fact that the adolescent brain does not have a fully mature frontal lobe (the area that regulates behavior and logic). Teenagers are not adults and cannot be expected to always be held to the same standards of mature, rational behavior because they are not mature and rational beings physiologically and mentally. For this reason, they need guidance and supervision, to reduce the opportunities they have to put themselves in a position where having sex is easy to get away with. In addition, of course, to giving them the straight story of consequences as you mentioned, because what you have said is important to communicate to them.

This is a far more complex issue than just "think before you act".

I agree with you completely! My hubby and I have been married for 5 years 11 days and it was 5 years 11 days ago that I kissed him & slept with him for the first time!

I didn't kiss him or sleep with him until our wedding day/night for those of you that didn't catch it the first time!

Thank you for saying what many of us are thinking. I'm tired of the teen pregnancy questions.

By the way, I reported "Tool Fan" - what a rude moron! I know a lot of very beautiful people who waited until they were married to have sex. Ugliness of heart has more to do with this than ugliness of body. And "Tool Fan" is proof of that.
