First, it was the witch TRIALS, not "hunt"
As for the film choices -- looks like pretty much everyone is choosing Miller's play (made into a movie), "The Crucible".
Only problem is, Miller's play, as a few acknowledge is NOT primarily about what happened in Salem as about Miller's interpretation of the McCarthy hearings of the 1950s. Thus the play is entertaining, but NOT very good history.
I haven't found much in the way of films on this topic that are widely well-regarded AS films AND are historically careful. One that sounds somewhat promising is "Three Sovereigns for Sarah", a 1985 PBS show (3 hours) starring Vanessa Redgrave as sister of two who were convicted and executed suing for reparations offered by the colonial government and to clear their names. In the process it goes back over what had happened... accusations, trial... It is also HEAVILY based on the words found in official records of the time.
The positive thing I see in this --aside from a clear attempt to stick to known facts -- is that it also touches on the oft-missed AFTERMATH of the trials... when many apologized, sought to make amends for the horrible mistakes and injustices. of 1692.
(Incidentally, a book that does the same and gives a decent telling of the story, even if a bit dated and so lacking the most recent scholarship, is *The Devil in Massachusetts: A Modern Enquiry into the Salem Witch Trials* by Marion L. Starkey
(1949).)

The Crucible is a great play and a good movie, although it really changes the fundamental facts of what occurred in Salem (for instance, Abigail was 11 not a 16 year old harlot).
A good movie (not not as great a work of literature) is 3 soverigns for sarah, from 1985.
Also- Kirstie Alley made a Tv movie in 2002 called the Salem Witch Trials, but I can't opine on that.

Yes, The Crucible, with Liam Neeson and Wynona Ryder.
There are also a French film, Les sorcieres de Salem (The Witches of Salem), from 1956, with a script by Jean Paul Sartre. And a film made in Spain in the early 1960's under the same name.

The Crucible although it is less about the Salem Witch Trials than the McCarthy Witch Hunts in the 1950s
