i took 12 ex lax today......?

Question

I took 5 at about 1, then i took a=3 at about 4, and i took the rest a couple minutes after that! and on top of it, i took 17 antacids at once at 11! and nothing has happened! why??

Why are you taking all the exlax?? Please, if it is for weight controal, there are much better, non harmful ways to achieve your goal.

At the very least, you run the risk of dehydration & the loss of nutrients when you rush the digestion process. Dehydration alone can be a serious medical problem. And whether it sounds nice or not, waste elimination from the body is part of the degestion process. I am not an expert - but I am pretty sure that most - if not all of our vitamins and proteins are absorbed in the small intestine and the large intestine is responsible for recycling water needed to help keep our bodies hydrated. People think of the stomach as the part of the body that "digests" food. The stomach is just an early part of the process. The acids in the stomach start breaking down fibers in the foods we eat in so the nutrients in those foods can be absorbed while passing through the intestines.
Now, if you are constipated - and if this happens often, you need to see a doctor. Occasional constipation can be handled by over the counter medicines, but it should not take the amounts you have consumed to get results. Consitpation - as well as frequent diaharrea can be a symptions of Inflamatory Bowel Disease and many other illnesses.

Oh, and laxitives, like other things must spend some time in the intestines to work, so slow down, give the laxitive time to make it through the bowel - and given the amount you haven taken - don't venture far from the bathroom for about 8 hours.

Good Luck, and please consider other options no matter what the motivation was to take such a large amount of laxitives and antiacids.

You need to watch yourself. I took five laxitives and had to call an ambulance twelve hours later because my electro-lites were so depleated that I could not even walk. I also had a seizure. Monitor yourself!!!!

How are you even still coherent after all of that? What were you thinking? Are you trying to make youself seriously sick? I think you need to talk to a doctor, this can not possibly be healthy for you.

Well you would be in the hospital right now. That is wat happened to my brother. just please go to the doctor or hospital because my brother almost died of that. that was 2 or 3 years a go when he was like 15 i think. he was in the hospital for like 5 days. its like he was REALLY drunk because he could barley walk. So please if this IS a joke then its not funny because of what happened to my brother. Right now i am almost twelv. just please i do not want to cry again.

It takes about 12 hours to work. When it starts to work, you'll wish you were dead! Trust me...I've done it before.
