I dunno why, it's really stupid... I myself hate being labled, because I don't fit into one stereotype. I think we should all just be people, not certain cliques.

Part of growing is accepting who you are despite being set up for criticism. If you are going to complain about being stared at for a haircut, piercing or similar off-center change of scenery, you should not be so oversensitive to the idea that some people will not appreciate it.

I know if you have like 25 showing piercings and represent the Elephant Man with your tattoos, I am going to have a prejudgment on what you think of yourself. You can complain that I don't know you, but I know you'll never identify with people I identify with. And I accept the criticism for "judging you" when you look like that. Agree to disagree.

People on this net will prejudge you for the grammar on your question as well. Maybe if you were a more diligent participant in school instead of fighting the norms, you would have an easier time. Alas, some choose to fight over switch. At least it's your decision, and I will respect that.

Bringing back memories for me there {I'm 25} :(

It's beacuse a lot of people find it easier to cope with the world if they can label people into neat little categories.

They identify themselves as one thing, and then feel they have to do the same for all the people around them.

They'd have difficulty finding just one label for me!


Just keep being yourself, and remember ~ they only do it because they have identity issues!
