I don't know for sure, but I can almost guarantee that they will make you sign a non-compete agreement. Most companies that do this make it so that you can't open your own competing business within 2-years of leaving the job. I suppose it's possible that Starbucks makes you sign an agreement saying that you can NEVER start a competing business, but I doubt they would do that.

They will almost certainly make you sign a non-disclosure agreement, though, so that you can't tell anyone about any of their business processes.

Try checking their website. Or asking an employee at the store. Basically you're saying "do they make employees sign a non-compete agreement?"
