Fresh pineapples contain proteolytic enzyme bromelain.. Which causes irritation at the tip of the tongue. I doubt that is an allergic reaction. However, you should contact your doctor, just to make sure . Good luck.

I think this sounds like a sensitivity to something, acid, papain, in the pineapple. Actual allergy reactions are more severe.

That is an allergy to it if I eat cantaloupe I get an itchy throat so I don't eat it

No, I always drink water after it eat because it gives me canker sores in my mouth. I love pineapple though. :)

No it does not make my mough itchy.
YES YOU probably are allergic!
I would recommend staying away from it as it could also constrict your throat.
